Position Summary
We’re looking for a talented Front-End Web Developer with strong HTML and CSS skills to help build and maintain responsive, accessible, and visually refined websites. The ideal candidate will have experience working with both traditional CMS platforms and developer-centric, modular systems that allow for direct control over front-end code and content structure.
This role includes integration with widely used platforms like WordPress, as well as custom or hybrid CMS environments that blend framework-level control with content editing functionality. Familiarity with this type of code-driven CMS workflow - where developers create page structures, templates, and modules while still supporting content editor usability - is especially valuable.
A good eye for visual design is also important. While this is not a design role, you should be comfortable translating layouts, typography, spacing, and visual styles into pixel-accurate front-end code.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and maintain responsive, standards-compliant websites using HTML, CSS, Stylus, Sass, PostCSS, and related tools.
• Integrate front-end components into both mainstream and modular CMS platforms using custom templates and reusable code blocks.
• Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and content teams to turn static mockups into engaging user experiences.
• Troubleshoot issues related to responsiveness, browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Optimize websites for speed, SEO performance, and WCAG accessibility compliance.
• Perform regular updates and enhancements while maintaining code quality and consistency.
• Stay current with emerging tools, front-end frameworks, and best practices.
• Participate in design reviews by offering technical insights and solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Expert-level knowledge of HTML and CSS, with a demonstrated ability to build clean, maintainable front-end code.
• Experience working with content management systems—both mainstream (e.g., WordPress) and developer-oriented platforms that rely on modular templates and structured code-based workflows.
• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Strong grasp of layout, spacing, typography, and visual presentation.
• Familiarity with JavaScript/jQuery is preferred but not required.
• Awareness of SEO fundamentals, web accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser considerations.
• Experience with version control (Git), file transfer protocols (SSH/SFTP), and build tools like Node.js and Gulp.
Firm grasp of layout, spacing, typography, and visual presentation, and the ability to translate FIGMA layouts into web pages Working understanding of FIGMA
Education and Experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in front-end development and CMS-driven web projects
Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity
We hire, promote, and compensate employees based on their ability to perform their job responsibilities, without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, gender, marital status, national origin, ancestry, age, citizenship, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, or any other basis protected by applicable law (collectively referred to in our Code of Conduct as “Protected Classes”).
