Automation Engineer 100% (m/f/d)

Responsabilities - What are your tasks:

·   Software optimization, adaptation and extension for existing systems;

·   Software development for current and new systems;

·   Commissioning of systems in-house;

·   Documentation of the systems;

·   Training of technicians internally;

·   Support of the customer service.

Requirements - What you bring with you:

·   Education in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Automation or a similar field;

·   Minimum 5 years experience in Automation, preferably in an industrial environment;

·   Experience in PLC programming , IEC is an advantage;

·   Experience with Structured Text (ST) or Structured Control Language (SCL);

·   Experience with Servo Drives and Motion Controller;

·   Knowledge of Articulated Robot Programming (6 axis robots) is an advantage;

·   Knowledge Beckhoff TC3 is an advantage;

·   Good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is an advantage;

·   Team spirit, great communication, autonomy, problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering;
• Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial automation systems;
• Experience with PLC programming;

We are seeking an experienced Automation System Software Engineer to join our team in Lisbon. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing automation software for various platforms in a GMP-regulated environment, with a focus on reliability, maintainability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement software for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems across multiple automation platforms.
• Convert functional design specifications into robust and maintainable automation code.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues during project execution and post-deployment support.
• Conduct software testing and validation to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, and IT) to ensure effective system integration.
• Maintain and update technical documentation, including configuration files, logic diagrams, and version control records.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the development team providing and implementing new solutions for new development projects
• Work closely with cross functional teams, in cooperation with international suppliers to provide optimum solutions
• Verify the rotor lock system by the mean of test and calculation methods
• Implement rotor system into production
• Drive VA/VE activities to optimize product cost to required performances
• Participate in estimating component life time
• Monitor performance of the rotor lock systems on all installed turbines to reduce the cost of poor quality
• Identify requirements to the rotor lock system from top level specifications
• Define interfaces to the other systems
• Design and specify components like cylinders, manifolds, pipes and fittings for extreme and fatigue loads

• Formação em engenharia eletrónica, elétrica, informática ou de automação, ou similares
• Experiência na integração de sensores/atuadores, variadores de frequência, leitores de código, etc.
• Conhecimentos de principais protocolos de comunicação: TCP-IP; OPCUA; S7 NET; Profibus/ProfiNET
• Experiência em desenvolvimento de interfaces gráficas no ambiente WinCC
• Interpretação de esquemas elétricos
