As a Product Owner, you will be our customers and the market's voice. You will closely work with our Engineering team in turning our product vision, into requirements that latter will become Coremedia's Portugal product to the market.
Main Responsibilities
- Work with Product Managers and the Commercial team to understand high-level business requirements and to turn these into detailed user story level requirements for implementation within Scrum teams
- Work with the Design team to achieve the next UI and UX requirements
- Work with Agile scrum teams and participate in scrum ceremonies
- Be responsible for managing the work's backlog for the team to deliver products on time and on spec
- Work closely with Delivery Managers (DM) on the priority and requirements of technical maintenance work and ensure the work is given adequate time in sprints
- Facilitate development teams' understanding of business problems to solve
- Validate requirements and demonstrate these on sprint demos
Key Requirements
- Working experience of at least 3 years as Product Owner
- Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English
- Experience working in a modern agile software engineering environment
- Capable to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Comfortable in responding to work needs with a sense of urgency and respect deadlines

Scope
We are looking for a passionate Product Owner to lead the continuous development of our market-leading broadcast products. Based on the Product Vision provided by the Product Manager, you understand and share it with the development team for the assigned product/module and understand how products fit in the ecosystem.
As a Product Owner, you are accountable for maximizing the value of the product/module and the work of the development team. Throughout the collection/gathering and the prioritization of needs, you're accountable for the definition and formalization of the Product/Module Backlog and for grooming it. You are the single point of contact regarding this Product/Module Backlog for all persons external to the development team. You collaborate with a Product Manager and other stakeholders following the SCRUM methodology.
Job Description
- Work closely with the Product Manager/CPO to collaboratively define the Product Roadmap, launch new products, and iterate on existing ones
- Ensure the development team understands the Product Vision and Product roadmap. Federate the development team around this Product Vision
- Based on the Product Vision, translate the business requirements into Epics and User Stories
- Responsible for Product Backlog creation and grooming to decompose/estimate Epics, User Stories, and customer issues
- Consistently prioritize stories in a DEEP backlog
- Write user stories and acceptance criteria
- Be readily available for the team to answer questions and participates in all Scrum ceremonies
- Ensure the development team understands the items (functional and/or technical requirements) in the Product Backlog to the level needed
- Steer and motivate the development team to deliver committed developments
- Product and sprint backlog definition, ensure the right priorities are set/defined, and ensure the delivery of the user stories and bugs corrections
- Approve delivered user stories during the team demo and collect feedback
- Follow up and track product progress
- Manage the stakeholders and make tough decisions
- Communication and synchronization with all stakeholders
- Document summaries of newly implemented features and release notes
Profile
Technical skills :
- Tech savvy and have an entrepreneurial mindset
- Able to communicate about deep technical topics
- Deep understanding of high technology with the ability to understand the details
- Experience in the video and/or broadcast/media industry is a plus

What will be your responsibilities:
- Own and maximize value of the Operations platform backlog (internal tools, 3rd-party software, integration layers): discovery → prioritized backlog → releases → continuous optimization;
- Define clear product goals, maintain and prioritize epics/stories using data-driven frameworks; manage dependencies and sequencing for scale;
- Write crisp user stories and acceptance criteria, ensure "Definition of Ready/Done," and lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews;
- Collaborate daily with Engineering, Design, Data, Hardware, and Operations to deliver high-quality, scalable increments on time; remove blockers and align scope;
- Accept completed work against acceptance criteria, coordinate UAT where needed, and ensure non-functional requirements (reliability, security, performance) are met;
- Instrument features and analyze telemetry to measure outcomes, reduce manual effort, improve UX for internal users/partners, and guide iteration;
- Drive release communication and change management with stakeholders (run demos, publish release notes, enablement materials).
What are the requirements to join us in this position:
- 3+ years in a Product Owner / Product Manager role, ideally focused on internal platforms, operations tooling, or enterprise systems;
- Proven success owning a backlog and shipping value in agile/lean teams (Scrum/Kanban), from discovery through incremental delivery;
- Solid technical understanding of software architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and/or embedded firmware fundamentals;
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, comfortable using data to inform prioritization and decisions;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences;
- Experience with hardware/IoT/logistics/last-mile solutions is a plus;
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.

Role Overview
Reporting to the VP of Development you will transform business requirements into detailed specifications that the development team will use to develop the next exciting features. The impact of the role:
