OutSystems Developer - Hybrid (Lisbon)

What do you need to have:

Hard skills

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information systems programming
• At least 18 months of experience in low-code development using OutSystems
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience implementing information systems using agile methodologies, such as SCRUM or equivalent

Nice-to-have

• OutSystems Frontend Certification (valued)
• Experience developing Live Styleguides in OutSystems (valued)
• Experience implementing customizable components (valued)

Role Overview:

We are looking for a OutSystems Developer to join our teams in one of the largest insurance groups in the world, present in 64 countries. Based in Lisbon (Hybrid).

This professional will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of complete solutions, from the planning phase to production implementation with Outsystems.

What you will do :

• Responsible for OutSystems Development (Reactive Web, Mobile, Traditional Web);
• Development of scalable and high-performance applications with OutSystems;
• Optimization and maintenance of reusable code and custom components;
• Software Architecture in OutSystems;
• Integration with APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP);
• Database and SQL Modeling;
• Automation and DevOps (LifeTime, Service Center);
• UX/UI best practices for business applications;
• Experience in projects involving system integrations.

What you are like:

• Professional experience in development of scalable and high-performance applications with OutSystems;
• Experience with APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP);
• Results-oriented: Focused on delivering high-quality solutions within the established deadlines;
• Proven experience in systemic and strategic analysis in problem solving: ability to identify and solve technical challenges efficiently;

O que procuramos:

• Licenciatura em Engenharia Informática ou similar;
• Experiência mínima de 3 anos em desenvolvimento sob a plataforma Outsystems;
• Bom nível de inglês, falado e escrito;
• Certificação OutSystems.

We are looking for an Outsystems Developer!

Responsabilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of applications using OutSystems technology
• Create and maintain scalable and efficient code while following best practices.
• Finish all assigned tasks with quality within the defined timeline.
• Develop solutions following OutSystems development best practices, ensuring solution performance and user adoption.
• Develop integrations with external systems according to the defined architecture guidelines
• Executing the necessary troubleshooting and bug-fixing.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the OutSystems ecosystem.

Requirements :

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team
• A strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Experience with database management systems like SQL Server
• Customer Orientation and Interpersonal Skills
• Transparency and ability to establish trust and supportive relationships
• Strong quality orientation and attention to detail
• Ability to organize, estimate, and prioritize project tasks
• Web application development and project delivery practices
• Understanding of solution architecture and web application performance
• Desired Qualifications:
• 4 or more years of professional experience developing with the OutSystems Platform
• OutSystems certifications
• Experience with OutSystems Reactive Web and Responsive Design
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Knowledge of database systems, such as SQL
• Experience with integrating third-party APIs and services.
• Professional experience in web application programming other than OutSystems is valued
• Architectural principles and Integration knowledge using AWS and Azure-based services are valued
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Academic achievements valued
• Fluency in English, written and spoken, is mandatory
