Job Description

We are seeking an Investment Data Analytics Associate to join our Lisbon team. This role sits at the intersection of investment management and data analytics, supporting portfolio managers, client advisors, and global teams with high-quality investment data and insights.


The successful candidate will combine strong technical skills in data validation and reporting with a solid understanding of investment concepts. They will be able to work confidently with portfolio data, ensuring accuracy and consistency, while also supporting the analysis of performance and risk across asset classes.


This position offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle: portfolio construction, monitoring, and performance attribution. You will play a key role in strengthening our portfolio solutions platform by ensuring that decision-making is supported by accurate data, clear analytics, and scalable processes.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of multi-asset class daily transaction data
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of investment portfolios
  • Validate and analyze investment performance data using methodologies such as Time-Weighted Return (TWR)and Internal rate of return (IRR)
  • Prepare customized client reports on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Support the automation of operational processes in collaboration with the technology team
  • Maintain strong data integrity and governance standards, including audit and documentation routines

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in investment performance analysis, portfolio reporting, or operations within wealth management, asset management, or private banking
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, Math or a quantitative field
  • Proven Experience in Banking Reconciliation with knowledge of product classification schemas, investment products (liquid and illiquid, public and private)
  • Deep understanding of investment performance measurement methodologies, including TWR and IRR
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and confidence working with large, complex datasets
  • Experience with Addepar or similar investment data platforms
  • Experience working with VBA, Python, Power BI or other Business intelligence tools
  • Fluent in Portuguese and English (spoken and written); other European languages are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, with analytical thinking and structured thinking
  • Self-starter and outside-of-box mindset with a desire to improve processes and automate manual tasks


Other Advantageous Qualifications:

  • Studying towards or interest in professional certifications such as CFA

Purpose

Reporting to the Site Director, in this position you will be responsible for supporting environmental initiatives through advanced data management, integration, and reporting.

This role focuses on extracting, transforming, and integrating climate-related data across global operations. The analyst will ensure data accuracy and traceability, support regulatory compliance, and enable strategic decision-making through automation and visualization.

Responsibilities

Data Extraction & Integration

  • Extract, clean, and structure large volumes of multilingual data from flat files, fleet and facility systems, and APIs, ensuring accuracy, consistency, completeness, and traceability.
  • Integrate data into platforms such as Salesforce Net Zero Cloud and Workiva and utilize AI functions
  • Collaborate with country-level teams to define and document metric inputs, data sources, and calculation methodologies, including those related to fleet fuel use, vehicle types, facility energy consumption, and refrigerant management.
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines, queries, and workflows using Alteryx, BOTs, APIs, Jetstream and other automation tools to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
  • Manage energy consumption and GHG emissions data, including Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventories, ensuring alignment with recognized methodologies (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO

Data Quality & Governance

  • Implement data quality checks across global locations, including completeness, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of fleet and facilities data.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reconciliation of energy and emissions data, including fuel usage, building energy intensity, and refrigerant leakage.
  • Maintain ESG data governance frameworks, including roles, responsibilities, and escalation protocols.
  • Collaborate with fleet and facilities management, and audit teams to enhance system capabilities and ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Document and review internal controls over data and disclosures, with attention to operational data from vehicles and buildings.

Reporting & Insights

  • Prepare ESG data for reporting under frameworks such as SASB, TCFD, GRI, CDP and emerging mandates and programs (e.g., CSRD, California Climate Disclosure, ISSB).
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and visualizations for internal and external stakeholders to analyze trends and support executive decision-making.
  • Contribute to environmental efficiency efforts, including energy and emissions reduction targets, risk assessments, and progress tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve ESG data processes, systems, and reporting capabilities across fleet and facilities operations.
  • Support cross-functional teams in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives that reduce emissions, improve energy efficiency, and enhance operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in related data management, analytics, reporting, or internal audit.
  • Experience managing energy/ GHG emissions data and Lean methodologies (preferred).
  • Experience with fleet and facility systems, building management systems, and energy tracking platforms (preferred).
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Alteryx, BOTs, APIs) and data visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced international environment.

+ Experience: More than 5 years in digital marketing/eBusiness working with global brands. Proven data analyst experience, including performance analysis, KPI scoring, and insights.
+ Technical Skills: Experience managing CDPs, dashboard visualization, and building with tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Data Studio, and Datorama.
+ Analytical Mindset: Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and a deep interest in Data and CRM.
+ Communication: Excellent communication skills, team-oriented mentality, and proven change management experience.
+ Project Management: Experience in project management is a plus.
+ Knowledge: Familiarity with Nestlé Corporate Business, Nutrition brands, and core Nestlé Digital communication policies.

You will be responsible to:

The IT Data & Analytics Manager is responsible for defining and executing the data analytics strategy at Hovione. This role leads a team of data professionals and oversees the development and implementation of data platforms, analytics tools, and AI-driven solutions to support business decision-making and digital transformation.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the data analytics roadmap aligned with business goals.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact data initiatives.

Data Analytics & AI Enablement

  • Oversee the development of dashboards, reports, and predictive models.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and AI to optimize business processes.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility across domains.

Governance & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain data governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HSE, and internal policies.

Project & Change Management

  • Lead large-scale data platform implementations and integrations.
  • Manage change initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

Vendor & Budget Oversight

  • Manage relationships with software vendors and analytics partners.
  • Develop and oversee the IT budget for data initiatives.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization using AI.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in data science and enterprise systems.

People Management

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
  • Align team objectives with Hovione's strategic goals and values.

We are looking to recruit a Candidate:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 7+ years in IT leadership roles, with 3+ years focused on data and analytics.
  • Proven experience managing global data and AI/ML platforms.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in data analytics and BI tools (e.g., AWS Quicksight).
  • Strong understanding of business processes across Finance, HR, Procurement, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise solutions and modern data architectures.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong project management and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

As a Reporting Analyst, You Will Be Responsible For

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, primarily focused on financial, cost, and volume data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Engage proactively with stakeholders across Markets, Regional, and Central teams to foster effective collaboration and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Project participation and monitoring of service/solution delivery;
  • Performing data analysis, data validation and data integration for financial systems;
  • Support and influence key operational and strategic decisions with independent and data driven insights;
  • Participate in identification areas for improvements, simplification, and standardization, being able to implement and influence new ways of working;
  • Establish effective working relationships with e.g. IS/IT Function, Data Governance or System Governance Teams.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Degree in Data Engineering, Economics, Finance, Management, Information Management, Statistics and Econometrics, Business Analytics, Data Analysis or similar;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Power BI (DAX language is a plus);
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills;
  • Good communication skills with perspective thinking;
  • Project management experience;
  • Knowledge of Agile Framework - Scrum methodology is a plus;
  • Customer focus: quality and timeliness of delivery is critical;
  • Experience in Finance/Cost Controlling is a plus;
  • Collaborative and customer focus-oriented attitude;
  • Advanced level of English spoken and written;
  • Customer satisfaction mindset: quality and timeliness of delivery;
  • EU citizenship or a valid work permit to work in Portugal.
