Are you the one?
- Experience in
participating in and/or coordinating projects
involving the
analysis, design, modeling, implementation and evolution of Big Data solutions
(including building data lakes, data lakehouses, data pipelines, and data frameworks). - In-depth knowledge of
Big Data solution fundamentals
, including the solution and data lifecycle (e.g., collection, integration, quality control phases, etc.). - Extensive experience in
designing and implementing data architectures and solutions using paradigms for handling large-scale data and distributed processing. - Strong experience with

We are looking for a Big Data Platform Administrator for
a project based in Lisbon (Hybrid).
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Cloudera-based Hadoop clusters (on-premise)
- Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of the platform
- Ensure resource allocation, performance tuning, and hardware optimization
- Manage access controls, including Kerberos authentication, Ranger/Sentry policies, and TLS encryption
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams (network, storage, security) to maintain platform stability
- Automate tasks using Ansible and scripting (Python, Java)

The Opportunity

As a key member of our dynamic Data Team, you will play a crucial role in the development, deployment and maintenance of machine learning (ML) systems in production. You'll be working on a wide-range of use-cases including unsupervised and supervised machine learning and LLM-based solutions, from retrieval augmented generation (RAG) systems to agentic workflows. You will ensure the robustness and scalability of such systems, critical to support our product and/or internal processes.

What You'll Be Doing Primarily
- Partner with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to deploy and maintain ML systems in production environments;
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and ML workflows using Python, SQL, Snowflake and AWS services;
- Build and maintain reusable components including feature stores, model registries, and experiment tracking systems;
- Implement best practices for monitoring model performance, data drift, and system health in production;

We invite you to join a team that works with OLX, Automotive platforms (Otomoto, Standvirtual), and Real Estate platforms (Otodom, Storia) across the entire EU region. In your day-to-day routine, you will have the opportunity to work on supervised models for behavioral classification, deep learning models for image classification, regression models for value estimation, as well as NLP and LMM-based models for various applications. All using Python and the AWS cloud. You will be exposed to key stakeholders, have direct contact with internal customers. You will have carte blanche to experiment and test things. And most importantly, you will also witness how your work impacts the day-to-day business of our customers.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work in the Data Science team focusing on the Motors vertical.
- You will help build the infrastructure needed to create agents as well as models, refine them for optimal performance, test them, and eventually deploy them to production.
- You will see your work in action and measure the true impact of your models on our platform.
- You will maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. This involves asking numerous questions to business people and translating their requirements into achievable projects. It also means collaborating with other teams, like infrastructure and data engineering, to get things done in an efficient and elegant manner.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to deliver solutions (customer-facing and platforms) to our customers (internal and end customers).
- Work with Product Analytics to track the KPIs of different ML use cases and measure the impact on our customers.
- Collaborate with the Experimentation team to integrate the KPIs and their proxies into the Experimentation (A/B testing) platform.
- You will work in multi-functional teams, in a diverse, multinational environment, filled with people from Portugal, Poland, Germany and Romania.

Who We Are Looking For
- At least 2 to 3 years of professional experience as an MLE
- Strong knowledge of GenAI and LLMs (you are able to deploy multi-agent systems as well and tracking their performance in Production)
- Good knowledge of the best engineering practices
- Experience with building data pipelines leveraging Airflow and AWS Batch Jobs
- Experience with serving machine learning models at scale
- Excellent knowledge of Python
- Experience in using machine learning frameworks in production settings: Scikit-Learn, Pytorch and Transformers
- Experience using cloud-based architectures for deploying machine learning solutions
- Proficient in English with excellent written and oral communication skills

- Exposure to MLOps tools
- Exposure to production infrastructure and best DevOps practices: monitoring, alerting, CI/CD, container-orchestrating platforms, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Kubernetes, Terraform
