Senior Insurance Accountant | Comptable Senior Assurance – Porto, Portugal

Summary

We are currently hiring a Senior Insurance Accountant for an international financial services organization based in Porto, Portugal. This opportunity is ideal for experienced accounting professionals with strong insurance accounting expertise who are looking to join a multicultural environment supporting international operations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, account reconciliation, quarterly closing activities, and insurance accounting processes under international accounting standards. Key Responsibilities

Manage insurance accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Perform detailed account reconciliations, analysis, and documentation.

Prepare and review accounting entries in accordance with local accounting standards and IFRS requirements.

Support quarterly, monthly, and annual financial closing activities.

Review financial data quality and investigate discrepancies.

Analyze balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.

Ensure proper audit trail documentation and accounting justification.

Coordinate with finance, reporting, actuarial, compliance, internal control, and technology teams.

Participate in accounting transformation projects and process improvement initiatives.

Support implementation of accounting and reporting enhancements.

Monitor accounting controls and ensure compliance with internal policies.

Prepare management reports and financial analyses.

Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting procedures and operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Economics, or related field.

Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or insurance accounting.

6 months of professional experience is required for all applicants.

Experience in insurance accounting is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of IFRS standards is required.

Previous exposure to IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 is considered a strong advantage.

Experience with accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, CODA, or similar ERP platforms.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Principales Responsabilités

Gérer les activités de comptabilité d'assurance.

Effectuer les analyses et justifications comptables.

Préparer les écritures comptables conformément aux normes IFRS et locales.

Participer aux clôtures mensuelles, trimestrielles et annuelles.

Contrôler la qualité des données financières.

Analyser les comptes de bilan et de résultat.

Profil Recherché

In this role you will be responsible for Endo-Mech and Energy portfolio sales.
**We are searching for the best talent for Sales Representative based in Porto.**
**Purpose:** Drive business growth and achieve sales objectives by developing strategic relationships with key customers and stakeholders within the assigned territory. Lead account management activities, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, and support the adoption of innovative technologies. Collaborate closely with internal teams, provide market insights to shape commercial strategies, and represent Johnson & Johnson MedTech in line with our Credo and values.
**Your key responsibilities:**
+ Analyze and interpret account strategies and plans utilizing key systems and data, both internally and externally, where appropriate to gain a broad understanding of the business environment and insights into account needs.
+ Develop, deploy and maintain tactical account business plans that align to business and customer objectives to deliver agreed objectives.
+ Prepare presentations for meetings as appropriate.
+ Build strong networks of relationships that enable the identification of mutually beneficial opportunities to sell key technologies in the surgical procedural environment.
+ Present brand value propositions and value-added customer solutions to positively influence buying behaviors.
+ Work collaboratively with colleagues across Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices to deliver business plan.
+ Collaborate with other commercial teams to deliver coordinated approach where applicable.
+ Partner with Professional Education to develop and maintain associated KOL relationships as well as championing the effective use of the Company's comprehensive Professional Education offering.
+ Required to attend live patient cases/surgeries.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences (nursery, pharmacy, etc) or Business Administration.
+ 5 years of work experience within sales in healthcare industry is preferred.
+ Surgical procedure knowledge, adequate to illustrate our product benefits is preferred.
+ Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills.
+ Advance-level computer skills, and the ability to multitask without the direct oversight of manager required.
+ Analytical thinking and Results driven. Steadfastly pushes self for results.

**The anticipated base pay range for this position is:**
27,000.00 - 43,700.00
