Location: On-site in Evora, Portugal

Experience Level: Intermediate to Senior (Minimum 5 years of experience)

We are hiring for our client company that develops and operates innovative products in mobility industries, specifically in Automotive and Urban Mobility, Aerospace, Ocean, and Space.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed structural analysis and evaluation of primary aircraft structures, specializing in both metallic and composite materials.
  • Utilize CAE tools such as Altair Hyperworks and NASTRAN for comprehensive structural assessments.
  • Apply expertise in sizing and dimensioning of aircraft primary structures to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
  • Assess and address fatigue issues and damage tolerance in structural components.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate structural analysis into the design process effectively.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in aircraft structural analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAE tools, specifically Altair Hyperworks and NASTRAN.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in sizing primary aircraft structures using metallics and composite materials.
  • Familiarity with fatigue analysis and damage tolerance methodologies in aerospace structures.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (100% presence required).

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with other relevant CAE software and tools.
  • Familiarity with optimization techniques for structural weight, performance, and reliability.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards and certifications in the aerospace industry.
