WHAT’S YOUR NEW ROLE ABOUT?  

We are seeking a standout addition to our MCR (Master Control Room) team in Video Operations. As MCR Controller at Stats Perform, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of live sport broadcasts, monitoring transmission quality and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during live events. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the highest standards of broadcast quality and reliability for our business needs. 

The ideal candidate will embrace our rotational shift schedule, bolstering our ability to deliver services flawlessly at any given moment. While basic grasp in satellite downlink and IP video workflow experience are beneficial, a knack for thriving in bustling live broadcast environments is equally vital. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

Live Broadcast Management: Manage all technical aspects of live video broadcasts, including signal routing, keeping track of timings and line-up configurations as well as video and audio specifications requirements. 

Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Monitor video and audio signals to ensure optimal quality throughout live broadcasts. Perform regular quality checks and troubleshooting to address any issues promptly.  

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain our state-of-the-art toolset that’s required for video delivery.  

Support: Provide technical support to consumers during live events, troubleshooting technical issues and implementing solutions in real-time. 

Emergency Response: Act quickly and decisively to resolve/escalate any technical emergencies or disruptions that may occur during live broadcasts, minimising downtime and ensuring uninterrupted transmission.  

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of broadcast activities, technical configurations and troubleshooting procedures. Generate reports as necessary to document incidents and track performance metrics.  

Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other team members, including Video Engineers, Planning/Scheduling and Live Monitoring to coordinate live broadcasts effectively and ensure smooth operation of the facility.  

This position will require to work nights, public holidays and weekends as part of our 24/7/365 operation.
