We are looking for a Bar Manager to join our 5 star hotel in an international group, located on the stunning Madeira Island! What we are looking for: -A creative approach with impeccable attention to detail -Willingness to work night shifts -A passion for drinks, food and hospitality, along with a willingness to continually learn and share that knowledge -Proficiency in speaking and writing in Portuguese & English, basic German, French is a plus -Customer-focused person -Team spirit in a fast-paced and demanding environment -Ability to handle stress in a project where every customer is special and every table unique. -Upselling ability -Deep understanding of spirits & wines Your main responsibilities and duties: -Ensuring the good performance and efficiency of the F&B outlets -Ensuring the recruitment of new staff and related processes -Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel -Managing, organising and planning events -Ensuring good communication between and within teams -Promoting excellent service -Monitoring and controlling costs and inventories -Planning service schedules -Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards -Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel -Identify customer's needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns What we offer: -Hotel opening experience -Monthly salary above average -Meal allowance -Free parking space -If applicable, accommodation provided -Professional and personal growth -Dynamic and collaborative work place
