Job position: Aeronautical Engineer - Mechanical Systems Design

Location: Évora, Portugal

Responsibilities:

• Follow product configuration guidelines closely.
• Assist in crafting project reports and relevant certification documents.
• Create 3D CAD models for manufacturing purposes, utilizing both composite and metallic materials.
• Produce CAD models to facilitate testing and certification procedures.
• Ensure project requirements and quality processes are met.
• Assess inputs to make informed choices regarding materials, treatments, and production methods for each specific application.
• Compile Bill of Materials to streamline production and purchasing/logistics operations.
• Identify issues and suggest/implement improvements to meet predefined requirements, objectives, or resolve problems.
• Provide necessary information to the manager for planning, executing, or overseeing technical activities, including defining activity plans and monitoring project task progress.
• Provide estimates and forecasts for work.
• Highlight potential problems, deviations, and requirements.
• Implement cost-saving measures by adopting lean principles in processes and design solutions.

Requirements:

• Hold an MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautics, Mechanics, or equivalent.
• Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Have prior experience working with CAD software (such as CATIA, Siemens Nx, Solidworks), MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), or similar applications.
• Demonstrated track record in component/product development.
• Sound understanding of materials and production techniques.
• Familiarity with structural sizing analysis techniques and principles.
• Fluent in Portuguese andEnglish.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills essential for effective collaboration within diverse teams, especially in demanding projects requiring analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
